Kate Bech, Director of Mission Advancement
Kate Bech brings more than 35 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining PCH in March 2023, she served as the CEO of the Princeton Family YMCA for 15 years. During her tenure with the Y, she expanded outreach activities to achieve a greater impact among underserved communities, increased organizational net assets from $710K to $9.9 million, increased annual membership revenues by 95% and raised $9.7 million in contributions to support annual, capital and endowment campaigns. Additionally, she focused on strengthening board governance, recruiting and developing a highly effective strategic board of directors.
Earlier in her career, she served as Chief Advancement Officer of Girl Scouts of Southeastern Pennsylvania for six years. She also worked with smaller YMCAs and Girl Scout councils in the Philadelphia area. She began her nonprofit career with the Rosenbach Museum and Library and the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Kate earned a Bachelor’s degree from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota and a received a Certificate of Fundraising Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s College of General Studies.
In her role with PCH as Director of Mission Advancement, Kate focuses on developing PCH’s resources, strategic initiatives, outreach and partnerships, volunteer management, and leads board development and governance. She also serves as a member of the Princeton University Art Museum’s Community Leadership Council and is past president, and treasurer of the Garden Club of Trenton.
