Why PCH? Why were you interested in joining the PCH Board and working for affordable housing in Princeton?
I am passionate about ensuring that all members of our community have the opportunity to live good and meaningful lives, regardless of their background. This means that we must ensure not only that people have their basic needs, like housing and food, met—but that they also feel supported and empowered to pursue their goals. I see PCH and the PCH difference to be deeply aligned with that vision.
What is your professional background?
I am the Senior Associate Dean of the College and Director of the Emma Bloomberg Center at Princeton University. In this role, I help lead Princeton’s work to support students from a wide range of backgrounds, especially first-generation, lower-income, and military veteran students.
How long have you been in the Princeton area?
I came to Princeton when I became a lecturer at Princeton University in 2012. I rented for a few years until I purchased my home on Birch Avenue in 2017.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I enjoy running and working out, reading (especially Victorian Gothic and contemporary thrillers), cooking and baking, and hanging out with my family, including my husband and two sons, and mother and father (who also live on Birch Avenue!). Most of the time, when not at work, you can find me shuttling children to activities or looking for various farms and playgrounds to keep my 2-year old occupied!
