At PCH, we like to say that community is our middle name. That is something that Angelique Adams takes to heart. Since taking the position of property manager at Princeton Community Village in May of 2023, she has made it a priority to help residents feel that “they’re part of a community and a family”. She explained, “Part of our job is to make sure our residents have a good place to live,” adding, “Not only good, but happy.”
It is not surprising to know that Angelique’s favorite part of her job is helping people. As the property manager, this can take many different forms. In fact, when asked how she would describe her responsibilities to a resident, she said, “Everything! My job here is to assist with any needs you may have with housing in the best way I can. Any questions, that is what I am here for. To assist you and help you out. As a manager, I wear many different hats.”
In her job, Angelique gets many questions every day. She feels an open-door policy is essential in fostering good communications, which she feels is linked to improving that sense of community. She encourages residents to come and share not only questions and concerns, but feelings. Angelique enjoys being able to “give them the knowledge that I have and make them feel at ease.”
The way PCH looks after its residents is one of the things that drew Angelique to the job. Princeton Community Housing is “special because of the way they care about their residents overall. All the way up to the board everyone is willing to help.” In addition, she said, “I liked what their mission is. That really got me. I am the field to help and be there.”
With Angelique on board, we are certain the residents will find Princeton Community Village a good and happy place to live.
